Galaxy Online 2: Guide
An Introductory Guide for Beginners
I just started GO2! Now what?
For a start, you may want to familiarize yourself with the interface (the locations of the buttons etc.)
Do the quest and it will provide you directions, resources and items for building up your home.
You will be on 3 days protection automatically.
World Channel
Note that you NEED Loudspeaker to speak on the world channel (its very easy to get it for free from quest, daily rewards etc)
Subsidiary Territory
(My Tools>Subsidiary Territory)
This is where you grow your resources, 'steal' others' resources (like farmville?), and earn vouchers.
To earn vouchers (part of the daily quest for Earning Gold), you need 8 players to repair your CIB. You can click on it after 24hrs to obtain the voucher.
The voucher can be used to accelerate building/ships/research and buying of certain items from the mall.
Corps
You need to spend money on an item to create a corps.
You need to build Alliance Center to join one.
To join a corps, access the Corps page through Interact button or the Alliance Center building and apply.
Your application requires the approval of either the Corps Colonel, Vice Colonel or the Chief of Staff.
The limit on corps member number will increase as the corps level increase, and it also gives bonus to resource production (upgrade needs time too)
Corps contribution is mainly for corps upgrade (the colonel will choose what to upgrade) and also it can be used to procure ships. (My Corps>Corps Donation)
Resource Bonus Planets (every area will have 1) can be captured by the corps and put on 3 days protection (it will count towards corps territory). After that it will be open to all attacks from others (thats why players move near to these planets to defend it) Each RBP has their own level (a level 15 RBP gives 15% resource bonus, +15% shipbuild/research efficiency)
Instance
To do instance, go to your Space Station at Space Base and click on Instance.
Choose your fleets and which instance to do and press GO.
Additional point to note is that you will LOSE ships and supplies.
The reward for the instance (the box that you receive) will either give you resources (most of the time) or blueprints (higher level boxes for higher tier blueprints)
Commander
Commanders can be recruited every few hours as long as you have a Command Center. The stats on them are self-explanatory.
You can recruit uncommon ones through normal recruitment (you will get them in the form of a card in your Back Pack) but it is quite rare.
The number of stars of a commander will affect the limit on the stats. The higher the number of stars, the higher your commander stats can rise to (especially important to those uncommon skills that require high specific stats)
To increase the stars, you need to combine commander cards and may need merge chip (obtainable from Lucky Draw, or buy from others, or visit the mall)
Ranking and Level
The honor ranks is dependent mainly on the military strength (ships)
Level is based on buildings
Moving Your Planet
You need Galaxy Transfer (obtainable from quests) to shift your planet to a random location
Adv. Galaxy Transfer (obtainable from quests) to shift your planet to a specific location.
SP
SP is consumed when you do instances and stealing resources. It will regenerate daily.
Use SP card to regain a little SP
War
Once the protection ends, you can get into a combat (provided that either party is not on Truce)
To fight, click on your target and press Send, then choose your fleets and so on.
Distance from your target affects the amount of time and supplies, and be wary of reinforcements from others (from your target's corps)
Once the battle end, your fleets will automatically return home.
If you are victorious, you will leech a portion of your target's resources. Also, if you have conflicting land with the target, that piece of land will be yours.
As for the defender, if you lose, you will NOT lose any buildings or defenses except for ships and resources
