Galaxy Online Game II: Basic Guide

Building Your Base Basics

Galaxy Online IILike many RTS games, Galaxy Online II has a base you need to build up. The resources you will use are metal, gas and gold. All three are needed for shipbuilding, and the construction of buildings. Mines that are upgraded will produce more resources and residences provide your gold income. Your first upgrades should be these structures since they will allow you to grow rapidly. You should also do the beginning quests for some resource rewards and other items. Build ships with your ship factory and use the weapons research facility to make new components for your ships such as weapons and shields. Technology building will provide you with new technologies such as increased mining or better weapons such as missiles. Build a resource warehouse to store your excess resources and click it to deposit your resources for use. Upgrade your civic center to unlock the other structures in the game. View the build menu to see what is required for each new structure.

Quests/Mail

Galaxy Online IIThe game features many different quests you can do. Follow along with the quest screen and sometimes you will receive reward items. You can view these in your game inventory called a “bag” here. Located the bag under “my tools” it’s the square box. Quests are also available under my tools with main quests and side quests available as well as daily quests. Your mail works a bit different in this game. When you receive a reward or other item in many cased it needs to be collected in your mail and then deposited into your inventory bag. You can click on the game item to use it. In the case of a blueprint, it will go into your ship design area and be available.

Ground/Space Base

Your ground base is where you’ll find the bulk of your structures. Each structure on your ground base can is upgradeable which unlocks new structures or make the building perform better such as a mine.. In space, you can build up your space base complete with defenses such as cannons. Here you can also mine additional resources and have your game friends build up your base for you. You’ll need seven friends to complete your base. If you upgrade this base, you’ll have more mining spots available. At your space base, fleet modification takes place where you add or subtract ships from your formations. Here you can send a fleet to an instance to try for rewards. You’ll need fuel so click the “supplies” tab under military and give your fleet some fuel.

Ship Factory

Galaxy Online II gives you the ability to construct your own unique ships. You’ll get a few ships blueprints at the beginning to design and then you’ll pick up more as you win them through rewards or buy from other players on the market. Ship blueprints include cruisers, frigates, destroyers and other ships. Each ship has a number of points that are assigned different weapons and components such as shields or improved engines. Once your ship has used up all its points, you can’t add any more equipment to it. You can give your blueprint an name and then use that to build ships from it. You can have a number of blueprints and older ones can be deleted to make room for new and better ones. In the factory, you can also research new blueprints you have unlocked and upgrade the ship t a higher level. So if you have a ship blueprint level one you can get a level two, which is a better ship. The same is applied to new weapons and other components.

Technology

Galaxy Online IIAt the technology center, you can conduct research improvements for your empire. For example, you can study ballistic weapons, missile weapons, enhanced mining, better ships, improved ship defenses and so on. Each technology has ten levels to it and multiple tree branches. So for example, if you start with basic missiles by the time you are done you’ll have giant warheads and bombs to use which enhance your missiles. Some technologies aren’t released yet so more options should be available soon.

Combat

Fighting in Galaxy Online II takes place above your planet or in instances. You can set a formation of nine groups of ships. Combat takes a number of rounds to complete. With the instances, you’ll earn rewards such as money, resources or in some cases blueprints of ships and new weapons to use. Combat is graphic based and fun to watch although you can’t control how your ships fight or move that is determined by the weapons and other components you have added to your ships in the design process. To make your ships move more be sure to have enough engines installed so they get extra movement points per round. Balance weapons, engines, shields, and ship armor so your fleet is well-rounded for battle. Do the instances before battling other players to get a goof feel as to how the combat works in the game.

Corps

Join a corps and play along side other players. You can also make your own corp in the game if you want but it is generally easier to join one that is already established. You can always make your own after you have been playing for some time. Corps require you to contribute resources to help the corps grow so be ready to give some of your resources away. In the corps, you can also buy ships and other items. It is recommended that you do join a corps since it’s almost impossible to succeed in the game without one.

General Strategies

Be sure your economy is strong in the game. Level your residences to make more gold or sell ships in the marketplace. If you loot extra blueprints this can yield a lot of gold too if you sell them. Level mines to their highest level and don’t forget to mine your space base and those of your friends for extra metal and gas. Experiment with the ship design interface and try different weapon configurations in the instances before battling other users to see how your new ship performs. If you don’t like the model, you can sell it or just recycle for some resources back.

Galaxy Online II Guides: How to Build Ships

Ship Factory Basics

Galaxy Online IIIn the ship factory, you can make new designs for your fleets. At the left, you’ll see the blueprints you already have designed. You tart with one free blueprint that you can’t change but you have room for many more. Click the arrow under the panel to build the ship blueprints you have made. On the right, the design button brings you to the design panel where you add weapons, shields, engines, and other components. The blueprint research tab takes you to the weapons factory where you upgrade ship blueprints you have or research ship components to higher levels.

Ships Design

Galaxy Online IIOn the ship design screen, you’ll pick a ship to make a blueprint. Choose from frigates, cruisers, battleships and special ships. You can only make the ship if you own the blueprint. Either buy the blueprint on the market or fight in the instances to win blueprints for your ship designs. The bottom section of the screen gives you the statistics of your ship in the areas of attack power, shields, range, storage, structure, movement, build time, and transmission, time. You have the option to enter a name for your ship. Click complete to add the blueprint to the ship construction and then the ship can be made for your fleet. Let’s look at each area of the ship design process.

Attack Module

Ballistic Weapons – There are rapid-fire weapons, not the most powerful but good general use weapons. Like all weapons, the ballistic weapons have three grades. You need the first grade blueprint to make the other three.
Directional Weapons – these are laser weapons and are more powerful than ballistic weapons. These weapons are great in large groups.
Missile Weapons – These devastating weapons can turn the tide in a battle. They are best at the back of your fleet to use once shields are destroyed on your enemy ships.
Ship Based Weapons – These weapons fire small fighters at the enemy. They can increase the critical hit chance. These weapons work best against ships that have lost their shields.
Planetary Weapons – These weapons are used to infiltrate bases and cause damage to defensive buildings around the base.

Defensive Module

Structure Modules- These modules increase the hull strength and stability of your ships. They feature three upgrade levels like all defensive modules with blueprint one needed to research the other ones.
Shield Modules – these deflect fire away from your ships. All ships should have some type of shielding system. Some shields will only allow for one module of that type to be installed on your ship.
Air Defense Module – these are great for deflecting missiles and other guided weapons away from your ships.

Auxiliary Modules

Electronic Module – These modules offer special features such as improved agility of your ship, improved targeting, ship boosts, and auto targeting systems.
Storage – Adds storage to your ships.
Transmission Module – Adds engines to your ship and movement points during battles.

Conclusion

Ship design is really quite easy in the game but the challenge is trying to mix and match different weapons and components against what your enemy might have. Try different configurations and see what you can come up with in Galaxy Online II.

Galaxy Online Game II: Economy Guide

Galaxy Online IIWith Galaxy Online II, you have three main resources at your disposal. Metal, gas, and gold are used to build structures and ships. Gases also serve the purpose of fuel for your ships so they can travel around and fight in other areas of the Galaxy including instances controlled by NPCs. You’ll need huge numbers of these resources to get a fleet built and to upgrade existing structures on your base. By upgrading residences, you’ll increase your gold supplies. Make sure your civic center is at a high level too, which will increase the level cap of your residences. Metal gas structures and mines increase the levels of both those resources so they should be at their highest level.

Space Base Resources

Galaxy Online IIAt your space base both metal resources and gas resources are used. At your base, it works a bit different. You can only have resources there for a short period and then they need to be harvested. By having friends in the game you can also harvest their resources on a periodic basis which gives you more to work with. At their space base simply click on their harvest button and you’ll get a certain amount of resources depending upon the mines they selected. Once your space resources are harvested, you’ll need to place more mines in the slots there. Upgrade your space base to gain access to more slots for mining.

Gaining More Gold

Gold is very important in the game since you need it for technology upgrades and for blueprint research. Gold will be in short supply but you can increase it by playing smart. First, be sure that your residences are at their highest levels and upgrade your warehouse to hold as much gold as possible. Next, you can do instances, which can yield you gold rewards once they are completed. The quest system is a great way to increase your gold supply in the games early stages too. As you play instances, you may loot blueprints you no longer need so take these to the marketplace and sell them to other players. If you have a ship blueprint in high demand by new players, you’ll make a great deal of gold off it. Be sure to check the process on the marketplace to make a quick sale. Selling ships you have designed can also yield you a steady income of gold.

Technology

At your technology center, you can find a few research options for your economy. High yield mining will give you more metal while high yield chemistry offers more gas production. For increased gold research high yield investing. You’ll need plenty of gold for these research options but they are worth it for your economy. Be sure to research expand capacity too which increase your stage limit for resources.

Conclusion

Take your time with Galaxy Online II. Be sure to join a corps to play with more experienced players. Use the chat system to ask questions or the game forums. Use the game store to buy economy time limit boosts which can help. Quests can also grant you resource packages as rewards. Make sure you upgrade your economic structures before you build ships to get your economy running on all cylinders.

Galaxy online 2 : How to instance to i30 without being a super player

by Todd Leavitt

Im going to use this thread to help people instance. I have found that people don't understand basic instance mechanics.

I recently beat i30 on Server#4, 3 of us did it around the same time. I beat it in the horrible time period of high He3 and low damage. I also beat it with 170K ships and it ran 1 mil He3. today that would have been a lot easier and Im guessing would have run 700K He3 a run. It took 45 minutes. I have mostly 3 star spell commanders. I have 2 5 spell commanders and 1 6 spell. I have a few 2/3 star blue and purples. the key to this all is to get the instance to run the same way every single match (it will) so you can then farm it. My strat works with small elite fleets, if you are a power player, you can avoid this all and just plow an instance with massive ships (and massive he3).

First Lesson: Pirate Mechanics

Every instance from 1-30 is the same.

Every ship based pirate fleet is set to attack "high durability"
Every Missile pirate fleet is set to attack "high attack"
Every laser and ballistics pirate is set to "closest target"

Every fleet should be designed for this fact. Every position you put those fleets in should be due to this. You can totally control every instance using this fact. How do I do it.

I create battleship Shield TANKS to take "high dur" attacks. 1 fleet (12000 ships)
I create battleship blocker shield/light dps tanks to take "closest attack" attacks. 3 fleets (9000 ships)
I create frigate DPS Laser ships to take "high attack" and some "closest attack" attacks. 6-11 fleets dep. on instance (10000 ships)

Shield tanks: these are battle ships loaded with TONS of shields specifically targeting SB attacks and virtually no weps or engines. In some instances I dont want these to move at all, in others where the pirate ships start on the other side of the screen you may want them to move up to 2-3 spaces to make sure they get in range at the begging of the SB attacks. you only need 1 of these fleets but it MUST have the most structure of any fleet. You should have 3K stacks. In i25+ I only needed 12000 in 4 stacks of 3000. Howlers are the best BS I had for this and work into I30 however you need EOS past i26. My i26+ tank is a cerbus III with 18 EOS, 5 PPT, 2 regen, 1 agi and 1 TCE. Up to i28 you can get away with a howler with a setup like 6 heat shields and 9 mag shields with maybe 2 regen and maybe 3 moves. dont put a wep on this ship so it wont move. If you are in an inst pre-28 and need it to move, put a temp battle ship stack in the middle with high shields and say 1 ballistic wep so the fleet will move. You can totally control the fleet this way. these guys will "plink" off SB attacks with no damage"

blocker shield/light dps: these ships are loaded full of shields and significant engines to stay in front of your DPS ships to 'block" and "lock" in the enemy "closest target" laser and ballistics fleets. I put 1 Ballistics on these and they are always positioned in front of dps fleets so that the pirates "latch" on to them. they are always set to "closest target" so that they always stick themselves in the pirates faces. I run 3 fleets of these in i18+. they have a little less duplicability then the shield tank. I usually run fleets of 9K in 3K stacks staggard. these will plink off laser and ballistics with very little damage. With EOS these will change to heavier ballistics DPS because you can run 10 EOS shields and put a good 6ish weps on it.

DPS Laser: these are the killers of the operation. Once the shield tank has pealed off the SB attacks the the blockers are in front of the laser/ballistics fleets, these guys (set to "max range") hang back and just rip everything apart. Every other fleet will be lasers ( 8+ fleets that only need to be at commander stack max). Why lasers.. they are by far the most efficient killers and he3 users. I always run 4-5-6 lasers in these and the rest go to agi and shields. Your largest laser fleet (high attack) will take the pirate missile attacks and since its a frig with high agi they aren't a problem if you mix the shields well. I would at least suggest a 5 star spell commander for 1500 stacks on this one. Fleetfoots like this took me will into i28. After i28 I had to have Poly's with 7 EOS shields, but still, I rolled into i30 with 50K fleetfoots the first time. my best fleet foot build (still used farming i28 right now) is build like: 5 lasers, 1 regen shield, 2 of each reflect shield,  2 eng (4 move), 1 shield, 1 agi booster.

Instance mechanics.

Once you get the previous set you need to roll into every Instance with a plan. Every fleet needs to be set in its perfect position for the match. this might take me 15 minutes. you can do this by placing your ships at your space base in the exact position they will enter the instance. Name the fleets 1 through 15 in the way in which you click them in. enter the instance full screen, screen shot it and leave. Open up paint and paste it and look at the positions of your fleets. Turn them the right direction and move them to the position they need to be in.

Get the blockers in front of the lasers/balistics
Get the shield tanks where they will take the first round shots of the SB pirates
Get the laser fleets out of the way.

its not as hard as it sounds.

Once you have this set, you are pretty much locked in the first time for farming. the only time something may foul up is if a commander like natya pops and runs out in front. Try not to use anything that creates a "random" environment.

i28 locked in and set up farming configuration:

In this pic you see my shield tank in the middle. It doesn't move. the Pirate SB tankers lock onto it right from the start. Realize that once they do this the pirate ships also don't move. they will sit there all instance and wait for the dps ships to eventually get to them and will just sit there while dps takes them down. the legacy blockers are in certain positions to take incoming laser fleets. Since I have EOS now, they aren't as important to you see EOS DPS frig in front to. But I still need the howlers to deflect the heat lasers in i28. since the laser frig dps backs off, all those front howler blockers get latched onto by the pirate "closets target" laser and ballistics fleets the whole round while dps just picks them off.

Galaxy Online II : Galactic Pirate's – GUIDE FOR BEGINNER

Galaxy Online 2: Guide
An Introductory Guide for Beginners

I just started GO2! Now what?
For a start, you may want to familiarize yourself with the interface (the locations of the buttons etc.)
Do the quest and it will provide you directions, resources and items for building up your home.
You will be on 3 days protection automatically.

World Channel
Note that you NEED Loudspeaker to speak on the world channel (its very easy to get it for free from quest, daily rewards etc)

Subsidiary Territory
(My Tools>Subsidiary Territory)
This is where you grow your resources, 'steal' others' resources (like farmville?), and earn vouchers.
To earn vouchers (part of the daily quest for Earning Gold), you need 8 players to repair your CIB. You can click on it after 24hrs to obtain the voucher.
The voucher can be used to accelerate building/ships/research and buying of certain items from the mall.

Corps
You need to spend money on an item to create a corps.
You need to build Alliance Center to join one.
To join a corps, access the Corps page through Interact button or the Alliance Center building and apply.
Your application requires the approval of either the Corps Colonel, Vice Colonel or the Chief of Staff.
The limit on corps member number will increase as the corps level increase, and it also gives bonus to resource production (upgrade needs time too)

Corps contribution is mainly for corps upgrade (the colonel will choose what to upgrade) and also it can be used to procure ships. (My Corps>Corps Donation)

Resource Bonus Planets (every area will have 1) can be captured by the corps and put on 3 days protection (it will count towards corps territory). After that it will be open to all attacks from others (thats why players move near to these planets to defend it) Each RBP has their own level (a level 15 RBP gives 15% resource bonus, +15% shipbuild/research efficiency)

Instance
To do instance, go to your Space Station at Space Base and click on Instance.
Choose your fleets and which instance to do and press GO.
Additional point to note is that you will LOSE ships and supplies.

The reward for the instance (the box that you receive) will either give you resources (most of the time) or blueprints (higher level boxes for higher tier blueprints)

Commander
Commanders can be recruited every few hours as long as you have a Command Center. The stats on them are self-explanatory.
You can recruit uncommon ones through normal recruitment (you will get them in the form of a card in your Back Pack) but it is quite rare.
The number of stars of a commander will affect the limit on the stats. The higher the number of stars, the higher your commander stats can rise to (especially important to those uncommon skills that require high specific stats)

To increase the stars, you need to combine commander cards and may need merge chip (obtainable from Lucky Draw, or buy from others, or visit the mall)

Ranking and Level
The honor ranks is dependent mainly on the military strength (ships)
Level is based on buildings

Moving Your Planet
You need Galaxy Transfer (obtainable from quests) to shift your planet to a random location
Adv. Galaxy Transfer (obtainable from quests) to shift your planet to a specific location.

SP
SP is consumed when you do instances and stealing resources. It will regenerate daily.
Use SP card to regain a little SP

War
Once the protection ends, you can get into a combat (provided that either party is not on Truce)
To fight, click on your target and press Send, then choose your fleets and so on.
Distance from your target affects the amount of time and supplies, and be wary of reinforcements from others (from your target's corps)
Once the battle end, your fleets will automatically return home.
If you are victorious, you will leech a portion of your target's resources. Also, if you have conflicting land with the target, that piece of land will be yours.

As for the defender, if you lose, you will NOT lose any buildings or defenses except for ships and resources

Happy Li Galaxy OnlineII – Newbie Guide

1.When you enter GO II for the first time, the best place to start is with the storyline quests! The rewards are   impressive and the story explains much of what’s going on in Galaxy Online II.

2.When you begin playing GO II, you must pay close attention to Technology Research. Researching techs can cost a lot of time and resources, so the best way to get a quick start is to focus on one tech and research others later.

3.In GO II, the commander is one of the most important parts of the game because they stand on the vanguard, leading your fleet into battle. So, do you know how to recruit commanders in GO II?
There are 3 methods of recruiting commanders.

1). Regular Recruitment. This method allows you to recruit commanders for free, but only one can be recruited each time. There is also a cool down time. When the cool down is complete, you may recruit another. (Spell Commander, Super Commander and Legendary Commander may all be recruited)

2). Quick Recruitment. Using this method there is no wait. You can recruit commanders again and again without stopping. There’s also no cooldown time, but the cost is 8 Mall Points for each commander recruited. (Spell Commander, Super Commander and Legendary Commander may all be recruited)

3). Commander Card. You must pay 100 Mall Points for one card, but if you are looking for a specific commander, this is definitely the way to go. Spell Commanders, Super Commanders or Legendary Commanders can all be recruited by purchasing the corresponding card.

4.Log in every day to complete daily quests. Completing these quests will earn you points. Both the daily quests and the Fortune Wheel will be updated at 1:00pm every day. After spinning the wheel, you will get an extra lucky draw for free. So don’t forget to give that wheel a spin after logging in!

5.In GO II, you have 2 different kinds of friends: Friends in GO II and friends on Facebook.
For your friends in game, you can help them repair their space station or steal some resources from them.
For your Facebook friends, you can can help them repair their space station or steal their resources, as well as helping them them accelerate the construction of buildings. (Helping friends speed up the construction of buildings won’t consume SP, but you must have at least 1 SP on hand to do it.)

6.Ship design is one of the most fascinating parts of playing GO II. You can create custom ships based on your wants and needs and oversee every aspect of the design personally. However, there are limitations to the amount of space available for ship designs, so make full use of your materials to create the kinds of ships you'll need!

7.Space Station's are also very important. These stationscan produce resources, but they are also often the site of major battles, so they must be protected. These stations are also where you go to enter instances, so they are very important. If there  8 friends visit you and repair your station within 24 hours, you’ll get a special gift – a Voucher! (Voucher: XXX)

8.Like most games out there, instances are important in GOII. When you complete an instance, you’ll receive rewards, like treasure boxes. (If the number of rounds in an instance are odd, when you finish the instance, you’ll be returned to the space station immediately, if the rounds are even, you'll need to return to the instance, and then move on to the next one.)

9.Treasure Boxes: These are the rewards for completing instances. You can get resources, and designs from them. Different level instances will reward different level prizes.

10.Completing quests will earn you points. You can use these points to take part in lucky draws to win big prizes! The points you earn from daily quests will be accumulated, and the more points you collect, the better your rewards will be. (Points won’t be consumed after drawing rewards.) In addition, in our daily quests, you can finish an instance quest and win an extra gift – 5,000 Gold! Please remember to go get the Gold when you complete an instance!

Have fun battling for control of the universe - only in Galaxy Online II!

Galaxy Online II Game Guide : All about commanders Guide

Newbie Guide – All About Commanders

1. Functions

To create a fleet, you need a commander to...well, command it. In addition to leading the fleet, commander's attributes, expertise, skill, and rank all have a direct effect on the outcome of battles.

2. Attributes

Each commander has 4 basic attributes and 8 expertise attributes. Basic attributes include Accuracy, Speed, Dodge and Electron.

Accuracy affects how much damage a fleet causes. Upgrading this attribute allows fleets to deal more damage.

Speed is just that, how fast you move in battle. The higher a commander's Speed, the the better the chance of attacking first in battle. High Speed also increases the rate of a fleet combo attack (which means two attacks by the same fleet on another fleet).

Dodge is just that, the rate at which a commander can effectively dodge an attack or reduce the damage received from one.

Electron is a little less obvious, but no less important. This attribute is crucial for fleets hoping to deliver a knockout blow.

The 8 expertise attributes highlight particular areas that commander excel in. Some may be good in one or two areas, while others will have a broad range of knowledge. These 8 attributes are: Ballistic Weapon Expertise, Directional Weapon Expertise, Missile Expertise, Ship-based Weapon Expertise, Planet Attack Expertise, Frigate Expertise, Cruiser Expertise and Battleship Expertise.

There are 5 levels showing how in depth their knowledge of each expertise goes (highest to lowest) - S, A, B, C, D.

For Weapons, Level S will improve your corps attack power by 30%, Level A will improve it by 10%, while Level B will improve nothing. However, if your weapon is Level C, it will decrease your attack power by 10% and Level D will decrease your attack power by 30!

For Hulls, Level S will decrease damage received by 10% and increase damage dealt by 10%, Level A will decreases damage by 5% and increase damage by 5%, while Level B will add no bonuses. However, if your hull is Level C, the damage received will be increased by 5% and damage dealt will be decreased by 5%. Finally, if your hull is Level D damage received will be increased by 10% and damage dealt will be decreased by 10%.

Also, when looking at possible commander's for your fleet, its important to keep in mind what fleet that commander will be commanding. If one commander has high missile and frigate expertise, its best to assign that commander to missile equipped frigates, or at the very least to a ship carrying missiles or to a frigate.

3. Different Commander Types

Commanders are divided into 4 types: Common Commander, Spell Commander, Super Commander and Legendary Commander.

Common Commanders: Can be recruited using the simplest and most basic method, from the Command Center. Keep in mind that after recruiting a commander from the Command Center, there is a cooldown time before another can be recruited. Common Commanders’ abilities are generally weaker than other commanders and they have no spells or stars! However, they are not all bad. They cost nothing to recruit and they can be improved with gems.

As for the other 3 commanders available, corresponding cards are required. These commanders include spells and stars and can even be compounded together to create even better commanders. The more stars a commander has, the better their attributes will be!

So, where can someone find these commander cards? They can be won from the Lucky Wheel or through the 'Draw Commander' option in the Command Center.

About the 'Draw Commander' Function

Go to the Command Center Interface and find the Draw Commander button there.

Click on it to get 3 random commander cards.

If you don’t get what you want, or want to try your luck again, you can press Refresh to give it another go!

After obtaining the card, go to your Bag to find it and use it.

4. How can Spell, Super and Lengdary Commanders be made into cards?

Click on the Change Card and then use a Sealing Card to change the commander into a card. You can then merge them with another card or put them up for auction.

About Commander Compounding

First of all, you need to create a Compounding Center. After this is done, you can merge your cards, compound your gem and socket the gem into a commander!

After merging 2 cards with the same star rating, the output will be a card with 1 more star than the original cards!

If merging 3 cards with the same stars and types (spell, super and legendary) but different names, the output will also be a card with 1 more star than the original cards.

If the compounding success rate is less than 100%, you can use a Merge Chip to increase the rate! If you have a high level Corps Compounding Center, your compounding rate will also be higher than normal!
